Happy Valentines Day! All of you must be feeling love in the air. All set with a bunch of flowers, chocolates and what not? But do you think it’s enough? Flowers and chocolates usually fade away, but what remains is an “Impression.” Impressions of your behavior, dressing and gesture. Make the girl you’re sitting across feel like a princess this Valentine’s Day and to do so by dressing like a prince and even act like one. Sounds too Disney? Hold my beer 😀
So here is one prom look for guys to impress your Valentine today.
Black: A perfect color for dates. It makes you look skinny and if you have perfect build makes you look sharp. I’m wearing a black shirt from Zara. Black shirts are the easiest to purchase and obviously, a must have. You can wear just a shirt with a colored ascot or even an open bow tie. Open your cuff buttons, pull it up to a comfortable level and accessories your wrist with a formal watch and you are all set to rule.
Black trousers are the classics; they never go out of fashion and help you look fashionable at every end. I’m wearing a black trouser which is ankle length which is now an ongoing trend in trousers and denims. I did not purchase the trouser separately; I took it out of a 3 piece suit set I had lying around. Don’t accessorize yourself too much for a date, instead keep it chic and classy.
Velvet was and will always remain my first love when it comes to formals. Velvet is no more a fabric for dark and cliché clothing yet vibrant and extravagant clothing. I’m wearing a Wine color Velvet blazer designed by me from pattern to the fittings like buttons. 😉 It’s a double breasted blazer which makes fattest of a person appear slim and sleek. The details of the buttons are gold and black making the wine color more attractive.
ACCESSORIZING YOUR BLAZER AND YOUR FACE
I’m all into Vintage feels this month. I love these square gold metal frames from a custom shop which gives me all those vintage yet chic feels. You can try out nerds with formal clothing which looks hot and classy at the same time.
Never forget to accessorize your blazer in formals. It shows your discomfort in terms of fashion and also appears boring. I’m wearing a lapel pin purchased from a local shop in Karol Bagh- Delhi which had a crown silhouette. You can go with natural flowers instead of pocket square, only if you are going for a very formal date.
I’m a fashion student who actually notices each and every little thing about fashion. What I noticed was; formal shoes have taken a big turn and gone more towards a blingy side and people are experimenting with glitter, gold and silver. Christian louboutin has changed the definition of formal shoes just by adding spark to it with glitters and Swarovski. I purchased these shoes from Koovs.com and they are amazing in terms of comfort and fashion.
QUICK LOVE TIP
Gifts really don’t matter in terms of love. Just love your partner as much as you can, be faithful and respect her. Cause sometimes the casual dating turns out to be so beautiful that you end up living the rest of your life together.
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY.
